Michael did you go to Marys swap meet today ? I was wondering if chickens were selling very good,i sold twenty male birds yesterday and 8 OEG today and a trio of buff brahma bantams ,getting a few off my feed bill

Good evening everyone!! Been a while since i got on but i guess its better than never getting on.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends the best possible. I am very excited to see the cool weather ahead. I have hopes of getting some fall gardening done when the cool weather gets here. Was reading as long as the plants are established before the days shorten to less than 10 hours I should be good. Not doing anything big, kohlrabi, garlic, other root veggies. Might do some snow peas. Never been able to get those to produce for me.

Frontier city is packed. More people here tonight then I have seen all season. We got the kids season passes for Christmas & they have enjoyed them, but don't know if we will do it again. We stay so busy that it is hard to get to the parks as often as we would like. Seems when I planned a day for here or the water park it would be 110 & too hot to enjoy ourselves or kids would have something else come up.

Hey Lil Sooner hows it going? Do you have a bunch of birds lined up for the fall show season? Are you doing socker this year. Our GD started out in basketball but transfered to volleyball.She is pretty good at it.

City you get to meet all the famous people and critters! Are they friendly or do you have to watch out for them?

Kass ,yes you can trim wisteria. I had two plants one blooms the other didn't so I cut it down. The bloomer I have to trim all summer long because it gets in my way. Doesn't seem to effect it. Seems mine sends blooms off the older thicker stems.

Been out watering again,sure hope it rains tonight,its starting to get really dry here! Funny,wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago I was complaing about the rain!lol

Got some good news from the lady I got my icelandic roo from. She is gvoing to bring me four pullets an another roo!And all the pullets have little toppy hats behind their combs!Guess I'll be raising icelandics next year! The roo I have is really getting tall,i wasn't expecting it to get tall,if he ever fills out he will be nice size.

I was soaking (fermenting) melon seeds getting the stuff off so I could dry them for saving, must have lost a day or so b/c they started sprouting!

Oh well it was just one batch it's not like I am lacking on melon seeds, they did very well this year. Those of you w/ experience saving seeds do I toss the whole batch or just the ones that sprouted?
