New place has 5 acres some out bldgs etc. Lots of shade trees. It is the place I was raised on. Mom called yesterday and told me she would rent me the home place, so I jumped all over it.

Hope to get down there by the end of sept, early oct. Will put a monkey wrench in going to some of the shows I had planned on going to, but by far a better deal. Yes driving 70 mile one way a few times a week gets to the point it is expencive, and very time consumming. Hope no one else gets hurt in the fire.

Hey Monty, I have some young stags and pullets out of that brass back albany I had and some kelso hens. They should be firecrackers.

American Poultry Assoc. has standards in the book of standards for Guineas right after the turkey standards in the back of book. With that being said, any show you go to that uses the APA standard book and breeds should allow the showing of them.

Yeah! Now I gotta get me one of those books!

Scored 5 adult guineas today. All pearl. 1 is HUGE. Wondering if it is the larger variety for meat?? His helmet is bigger than any other guineas I have. I traded the rest of my welsummers for the guineas. Now I can really say no more welsummers!

So far I have decided to sale:
Nice show quality trio of Barred plymouth rock bantams
Some of the cornish bantams I got raised this year. (quail size now)
All of my American game stags and pullets (about 2 1/2 to 3 months old)
A few Asil grade stags and pullets (same age as above)
Probable a few more as I get closer to moving to make it more manageable. Will trade fowl for help moving

Wish you were closer, I have 10 guineas left, probable going to sale or trade them. They are getting big enough I dont feel comfortable turning them out in a new place. Never had much luck with the older ones doing that. As far as getting one of the standard books. Well worth the money if you guys are going to show. Besides, lots of pretty color pictures in it to

Michael,
Are they LF or Bantam or Both? Are these the older style or the newer ones made a real light weight wood? Are they painted or just natural wood with oil and or stain? If they are bantam I may be interested in a few.
