***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Still with us. Still not eating, but drinks water. I'm still giving her pedialyte & an antibiotic (keeps chance of infection down). Vet said I could offer her boiled hamburger & cooked white rice, but not to force her to eat. Had to get some more anti-nausea meds because she's still vomiting. Thankfully not all the time like before. She is energetic in the mornings, at least more so than she was, and lethargic in the afternoons/evenings.

Along with Kassaundra & DH for providing the Okie chicken train! My mom wanted to put that bird in her trunk! She's so funny.

No trunk riding here she rode shotgun, did my job of telling Gary when he was not driving right.

So she made it good right? Kassaundra, thank you greatly for giving her a ride, it was nice meeting Gary. Please keep cool for the evening she will need water so i attached the cup to the front of the carrier for you to use.
She is very calm and easily handled so if she gets out of the carrier she will go right back for you with no problems..

The fire in Rush Springs has the air all gray & smoky all the way here outside of Cement. Walk out the door and you can smell nothing but smoke. My birds are not making a sound. Most of them are already roosting. Worried about what the smoke is doing to them.

Yes she is safe and sound. Gave her water first thing. Then gave her some food. We put the dog kennel she came in in a very large dog kennel we have and have her in the spare room right now, shes perched ontop of the one kennel in the other kennel, clucking away. We will keep her in there until we deliver her to Muskogee on Thur. it's just to hot outside for a "fur" coat head to toenails. She sure is some kind of fluffy!!!!!! lol

If I get a chance tomorrow I may have to do a little photo shoot, might never have such a fluffy chicken here again!!! lol

She is nice and round, looks full feather but actually in a molt and will be even fuller in just a week or two, I am glad to see that she is understood there, these big fluffy birds don't always do real well in extreme heat.
I am sure she will be a great addition to Madison's show flock. Just wait till those Blues I gave her at poops fill out.

yep, pick her up and fold the feathers on her back so you can see there are about 2x that many coming in she only has 1/2 of her feathers right now.. the nice green sheen on her current feathers are the ones she has already molted out. She is a Big round beautiful bird..

No she only has 3 points on her comb and two that almost developed, that is the only thing a judge could gig that bird for.
