***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Yeah, I sent the one that had her tail for Madison to show this fall and breed from come spring, she will do her very well. I am quite happy to know these birds have gone to homes that will appreciate them.
How are your two doing? is one of them laying? I had been getting 2 eggs a day and since you picked up those two it dropped to 1, I know that one going to Madison was laying the pullet eggs so now I have to wait for the two remaining hens to decide it has cooled back off enough.

I got an egg yesterday. I figured it may take them a week or so to get going because they're in a new place. They do love the fan. They lay smack in front of it with their faces pointing into the breeze lol They're doing real well. They're not lap chickens yet but I informed them that in time they will be

They're real curious about me, it won't take long. Oh, the little black Cochin pullet I got from you jumped right up into my lap of her own free will tonight. I like to just let them take their time to get used to me. She likes me!

You know at that rate you may be able to turn the temp down a little in the winter without a blanket.. I bet they would keep you nice and warm sitting on your lap, but you will quickly run out of room.

So she made it good right? Kassaundra, thank you greatly for giving her a ride, it was nice meeting Gary. Please keep cool for the evening she will need water so i attached the cup to the front of the carrier for you to use.
She is very calm and easily handled so if she gets out of the carrier she will go right back for you with no problems..

Yes she is safe and sound. Gave her water first thing. Then gave her some food. We put the dog kennel she came in in a very large dog kennel we have and have her in the spare room right now, shes perched ontop of the one kennel in the other kennel, clucking away. We will keep her in there until we deliver her to Muskogee on Thur. it's just to hot outside for a "fur" coat head to toenails. She sure is some kind of fluffy!!!!!! lol

If I get a chance tomorrow I may have to do a little photo shoot, might never have such a fluffy chicken here again!!! lol

Caution! The fluffy chicken bug is very contageous. Some folks, like Mary Beth, have some kind of immunity to any bird with feathered legs. I am defenseless and fear there is no cure.

I have a chair I put in their run and I sit on the ground lol When my lap is full the babies all start filling up the chair. Funny funny babies.

I'm going to pick them up the 10th if nothing can be worked out. And if I can't wait til the 10th I bet I have a driver's license and know how to use it

Although I am immune to featherlegged chickens (except silkies) I am defenseless against NNs and blue EEs.

I guess we all have our weaknesses.

As between the Hovabator foam incubators and the Little Giant foam incubators, I never had much luck with the Little Giants. I don't think they hold the temperature as well as the Hovabators. I like using both a Sportsman style incubator and the Hovabators. The combination gives me more options with staggered hatches.

Hi maam, did the hen u got from me ever start back laying?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that she started laying about 10 days ago and I have the eggs in the incubator right now
