Cowboy since you were just down the road you should have brought me those guineas!!! I am sure I could have found an empty coop for them with hopes of them joining the main flock this fall. I was wondering if you bought any of those with the blue necks at the last cement auction. I have been kicking myself for not getting them!

If I hadnt spent most of the day at Arapaho, I would have been more than happy to bring them. Didnt figure all day in a cage in the hot temps today would do them much good. Didnt buy any at cement.

Its all good. I agree about being locked in the hot cage, I haven't lost a Guinea to the heat yet. They are smart enough to stay in the woods where it is cooler. The chickens go back in their coops when it gets hot. Go figure!

Think I plan on cleaning house this morning. I really need to do spend an hour or so dusting. Leaving in this sand pit causes dust to get thick overnight. I dusted at least once a wk when we lived in town and you would never see dust on my furniture. Here I could dust everyday and you will always see dust! The battle seems hopeless. Really need to clean the yard some but I am hoping to do that in the up coming weeks as it cools down.

morning!! time to get moving and let critters out- full day of stuff to do, so no playtime with chickens this morning.... 2 cups o coffee and i am good to go! Have a good day everyone!

Here are my new serama chicks. There are two silky serama roos in the mix too! They came from June-Bugs birds. Thanks June-Bug I love them!

I like the one pic showing the boys lined up! Each one is different, the girlas are all different also.

Made a brief stop at Lynn's yesterday. Bought back a pair of guineas he bought from me last year, as well as three youngsters. I've got secure quarters for that many, and this will bring my flock back up to normal. Got to see Dakota and Heather, and met Lynne's lovely wife! Thanks, Lynn!

I wasn't that much help. How did it do, I haven't been able to keep up with the posts.

I'm tired too this morning.

Okla, pretty chicks, I know nothing about serema's except they are small and stand straightish (well especially thier tails) anyway when I saw the pics I thought, look at all the boys,

I can't get over those rodents being born so big and hairy!

Robin, I'll keep the 10th in mind and if he goes in that direction before then let you know. He usually doesn't know until about a week before, but sometimes they call him w/ rush jobs he only gets a day or two warning on those. Especially in the Stillwater area, they seem to have trouble keeping an inspector over there.

Unfortunately she didn't fair too well, I met and replaced the bird and picked up the not so good one. Upcdayz got a very nice young pullet in exchange that will do her well for years to come. It was a bit early to tell for certian but based on the pullets size, and color at the time I woul dhav ebet she would have been in our breeder pen come spring.
