***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Thanks wayne. I am cutting back on most of my other breeds to work on the brazilians. Keeping my spangled oegb, a pair or two of bantam shamos, and a pair or two of modern game bantams, just to play with.

I emptied my kiln about an hour ago. The second teapot is ready for the Girl Scout Tea Party. My daughter asked for Mary Engelbreit colors, so I found a teapot she had done and use the same pallet: black, yellow, orange, red, and green. I wanted mine to be more organic, though, so I didn't incorporate little cherries or tiny flowers the way Mary often does. You've probably seen her work in children's books, greeting cards, and collectibles. Instead of using a rigid pattern of fruit or flowers, used colored crystals and just "let it happen."

I understand completely. I have been invited to go to New Castle and would love to go as I think Modernman is going to have one heck of a nice sale this week. BUT, I am going to auction at Dodge City KS Monday. I think poultry sale at New castle will be better, but Dodge also sales lots of goats, and am in the market for some of those critters. Holler next week see what I got. Most everything caught up now will go to dodge, but I still have a few left.

You need fainting goats

I will introduce you to Bob one day, he will have the Partridge cochin you are looking for.. right along with several other colors, I think 10 total in bantam Cochin, he has 10 varieties of OE that I don't have, 9 varieties of d'uccleegyptian geese, call ducks, and turkeys.

Just chat it on up, thats what its all about enjoy, if you are one of teh fortunate few you can join the enblers club, P&B is teh chairman, I am the vice chair, Robin now represents the NE district. So we could use someone in the South central..

What do they weigh? and how badly would you like to get rid of them? Are they big or small?

I thought I would share a bit, two of my OE cockrells this year that will very likely be seen quite a bit this fall and coming spring. I think I have them timed about right for the show season just finishing the final tail molt for the brassy and well into the tail molt for the columbian. He will definetly be ready for OE nationals though.

Thank You.. I have broken all of my rules and not sold that bird several times regardless of many times the kids or adults asked. He will only leave here in a show transport box.

Greenscape, tell us about your finch and parakeet endevavors. I have a couple of pair of parakeets, one pair has three hatched out now. I would like to get some societys going but they are either scarce or outrageously priced around here. Sounds like we need to get you into pigeons too!lol

PoCo that is beautiful! But I am not for sure which one I like the best. You certainly have a talent there. Do you have a shop set up somewhere ? I would think you could bring a pretty good income with taht kind of work! Be sure and show us more of your works,I am sure orders will come flying in!lol

Cowboy are you going up there looking for nigerians? We see alot of them on craigslist here. They run from $150 up. But there are a lot of them that show way too much pygmy blood for my likeing. I think a good pure nigerian shouldn't look much at all like a pygmy. Am I right about that? How are the pigeons doing? Are you still likeing them. I had to order bands again today,I can't believe I have went thru a hundred already this year.

Jarvis I like the hens better tahn the roo on the columbians! Its hard to find good hens like yours in the OE columbian. They tend to have way to much black spreading out of the hackles over the body. Yours look great!

Robin don't worry,if your coop is comfortable for your birds and you then it is a castle . Like they say,"clothes don't make the man,and coops don't make the chickens!" lol.Just enjoy them and know that they are happy.
