***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Gah! I wish I could have gone. I did not know there were these types of auctions so near to me! My youngest son has fallen in love with the pekin duck eggs. Ate his first for breakfast and thought it was so delicious. He declared it better tasting than the hen eggs. Now, I'm really wishing we had more females. Anyone know where I could possibly get a few quality pekin ducks to add to our little flock? A reputable seller, of course.

There is a list at: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=363390&p=1

for all the swap meets and auctions around the state. Hope to meet you at one!

Great, thanks!

Finished cleaning the hot tub room and the hot tub. It's now full and heating...hubby is so ready to soak his back in there. Never knew 4 molting chickens could shed as many feathers as the lovebirds...and the feathers are bigger...filled half of a 5 gallon bucket...whew! And the lovebirds can scatter their seed everywhere...but I found medicated chick feed on the ceiling fan blades.

Hi Everybody!

Had a wonderful evening at the Newcastle auction. Got to see some many of the BYC crew it was awesome! It was so fun hanging out talking chickens with so many wonderful people. Also was able to meet a few BYCers I have not met before. Looking forward to Blanchard next weekend. Especially with the cooler temperatures.

Scored a nice quad of millie fleur cochins to add to my breeding program. Also got two bourbon red poults which I am pretty sure they are hens. Thank you Michael for the trade. The new peacock is settling in with the rest of the newbies in the quarantine pen.

It was so nice to wake up to such wonderful weather. The weather has been so nice out I have been running around getting stuff done that I have had to put off because it was so dang hot out. Also I got feed today and more free produce. My chickens are so darn spoiled. Veggies everyday and all the food they can eat.

I think I am going to go out and visit with the birds some more. I love this weather!!!! Hope everyone else is out enjoying it as well.

Hello Okie Peeps! I haven't posted in forever. Busy away from the computer, but after this next week I should have more time to keep up with all of you, because I miss you!

I know a lot of BYC folks sew. I'm thinking about replacing my Kenmore 10 stitch machine, which I bought my senior year in high school. I've used it up. It's time for a new machine. DH laughed at me when I fussed about having it cleaned, again, and adjusted, again, when the cost of both will cover more than half the price of a new machine. For you sewing enthusiasts out there, what would you buy if you were in the market for a new sewing machine?

Hubby took me to dinner so I wouldn't have to cook after working all day....such a sweet man!!

Checked on Angel and Popeye to make sure they had water for the night....the Blue Cochins were tucked away under the rack table chittering away and Popeye was snuggled under Angel peeping back at them.

I could hear frogs at the pond...what's left of it...it was a nice melody.
