***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We just got a call from DH's parents in OKC. They are expecting thirteen inches of snow tomorrow. Looks like our trip is postponed. I'd hate for this to be us on the turnpike. Safe travels to everyone who must be on the road for Christmas.

13!!!!! last I heard it maybe was going to be 6 at the most and that was this AM. Must have been watching channel 4 and that drama crew. My wifes friend's husband is a meteorologist in Norman at the NWS and he gives us the heads up if it will be real bad. No word from him yet. Check around and see what other stations are reporting.

Gonna head up to Edmond this evening for Christmas Eve dinner with the wife's family and when I get home tonight I am going to throw on a turkey, bologna, ham, brisket and anything else that I can get into that little smoker. And if the power goes out I will plug it into the generator!

i am sure glad all the coops are close to the house- we have propane, unless the power goes out, then the wood stove and the generator- extra feed for critters and people- hopefully the satelite won't mess up and we can see Dr Who... bbc will be having a Christmas day marathon all day

We celebrated Christmas Sunday with our girls and their families...had a wonderful day for the grandchildren to be outside enjoying the farm...little boys got to feed the chickens and "pick" eggs. The big kids got to drive the Ranger and 4wheeler around...had to have an adult with them, but they still had loads of fun.
Today I moved all the birds into the hen house and brooder room but kept the pens separated by setting up temporary pens...it's a little crowded with the additional pen on the floor, but everyone will be out of the freezing winds. Even set up a pen in the barn for the pair of geese.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas surrounded by friends and family and all have a safe journey as they travel.
