Boy it has turne winte here again! Chance of snow tonight but in the sevenths by the weekend! I' glad it will be warming up while we are moving.

My hens ae confused by all this up and down weather. They were laying well then they weren't, then back on again and now off again.......

you cant poison a chicken really , ive had them eat and drink all kinds of stuff while out free ranging , from motor oil and stuff , so your fine , and most medicines you give to your animals you can use yourself

hi yall its that time of year i fill like a chicken with my head choped off lol it run run work work bussy busy but today i took a littel time to injoy the birds and take some pics

erinzoo, you can use a piece of PVC pipe cut in half lengthwise as a splint. Worked great on our calf with the broken leg last year. Use gauze, some flattened cotton for padding and wrap with stretch wrap...not too tight but comfortably secure. With the calf the vet used fiberglass casting material to last the eight weeks to set the leg. I don't know how long it would take for the turkey...

I just got caught up on posts. Sure wish I had more time to visit with chicken friends online. Spring Break starts the 18th, so I plan to keep up with the thread then.

Someone at work sent me this link. She told me she thought I might be interested in seeing a story about an egg-bound chicken and the treatment for the problem. I still can't figure out if she meant to send me a real article, of if she read to the end and thought it was funny enough to send as a joke.
