erinzoo,  you can use a piece of PVC pipe cut in half lengthwise as a splint.  Worked great on our calf with the broken leg last year.  Use gauze, some flattened cotton for padding and wrap with stretch wrap...not too tight but comfortably secure.   With the calf the vet used fiberglass casting material to last the eight weeks to set the leg.  I don't know how long it would take for the turkey...

Thamks Nana! We ended up using one of those stiff styrofoam boxes that mushrooms come in for splinting and wrapped it with the stretch wrap. She soaked her leg in the epsom salts just fine and we added a little antibiotic to her water. An hour later she was standing on it with her foot spread like it should be. We were worried because she wasn't flexing her foot at all before. She's getting spoiled though ... she wants me to hand feed her greens and fodder and won't eat her normal feed. Oh well , what we do for those we love.

Has anyone ever heard of that hapening??? I don't want to take any chances of it getting a chill. I'll try to get a picture of it later when it warms up some. I'll do my best, however, my camera don't take good close-ups.
