***OKIES in the BYC III ***

They are expensive too!! haha
o those are dollar general prices compaired to the imported varieties of the orpingtons lol .. which are 200 a bird for a juvenile

but that listing is for show lines not production lines as well and show lines will be more costly vs production lines

We went to the Blanchard auction. We picked up 2 buff orps, cold eggs, and a ready made plastic brooder. The prices were very high $37 for one hen... I left my phone so we couldn't let everyone know what we were wearing so we could see other BYCers. Is this how high prices are during spring time?
Yes these prices are even high for spring time. I laugh when people call about my pullets and offer me $6.25 for a POL bird that I am asking $18 for. That is typical price for a nice bird that will lay for a good long time. I tell them to go try the auction and see how they like my price after they see the prices this year! LOL

I can't wait until we can get back to attending the auctions and seeing everyone!

Good looking little dogs!

Just curious about wing clipping. I've heard about, but don't know about the pros and cons nor how to go about doing it.

I clip wings on my two girls... ( I have experience from owning parrots for 15 years ).... I know it's time to clip again whenever I find one of them wandering down the alley to greet me when I come home.... I know I'll find a couple of big new primary feathers once I get her back in the yard.

Just planted all 50 of my new gladiolus bulbs Gary bought for me, I don't have any pics of gladiolus so that will be cool when they start blooming.
