My Girls are laying like gang busters so I should have a couple of dozen cochin eggs and a dozen + of turkey eggs. Hopefully a few poults, as well.

Is it OK to have BO Roo in EE pin if collecting egg's to hatch?

EE are technically mutts, so it's OK. I prefer to keep a rooster from a blue eggs layer or a BCM. Just because my goal is always to have girls that lay pretty eggs. And we think blues eggs are the prettiest at my house with green in 2nd place.

Any combo of roo and hens of any breed is okay for hatching eggs as long as there is full disclosure to any purchasers of those eggs as to what breeds the parents are.

You will create Olive Eggers - a blue egg layer crossed with a brown egg layer.

yes, they are all out of the same buck, and he was the dad last year and had 3 sets of triples then too. must be him cause we only feed the nannies 18 creep feed nothing special. But we sold him and are moveing on to the next blood line hope the next one is just as good.

Does anyone on this thread have Wheaten Marans that won't charge an arm and a leg for hatching eggs?
