Yesterday my shepherd/rot mix and I were out in the woods clearing a new home site about 70 feet away the buffs were on the hunt out of the corner of my eye a flash then feathers fly birds take flit dog takes off I'm not sure what I just seen so I take off after the dog through thick woods and ceder thicket at a dead run when I got to my dog she was going crazy I was bent over going backwards when I stood up to my surprise eye to eye with a 90 pound bobcat no weapon thank god he was as scared as I was I could fill his breath on my face he dropped the buff and ran off with dogs chasing bird is still in shock only two visible wounds in wings but I'm sure some internal bruising she won't eat or drink today I cant move people over 50 should not go Rambo my wife didn't think I could move like that any more . Lesson learned a chicken is not worth what could have happened.
