That sounds awesome. I'd be looking for batches less than 8 weeks old, though. I can even take them day old or week old. This is worth some thought. The goal is to acquire groups of male chicks, so the sex link is perfect.

Sure we can do that. Just thought for your convenience I could hold them in batches. But younger is all the better for me!

It is a cockerel, laced Wyandotte's take a good bit of time to finish and show what they are all about be very patient he will likely be over 12 months before he is fully finished.
Thanks for the help. I have six pullets and him I think they are all about 5 months old..

I have 3 lavender-split 2-week old silkie chicks for sale. One is frizzled. I bought them as hatching eggs - the lady had a lavender splash frizzled roo (I added a pic of him too) over buff, black, and white hens. They were not feeling photogenic today but here they are. I also added a pic of the frizzled chick I am keeping that I *think* is lavender. Just wanted to offer them to you all before I went the craigslist route. Might be willing to trade for a pure Ameraucana pullet/hen. Unfortunately I cannot travel far from the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area.

I will also have blue copper Marans chicks available in a couple weeks - I am waiting until they are 4-5 weeks old so I can be more confident I am keeping a hen. But if anyone is interested please let me know, I will have 7 available. They come from successful show birds - they were hatching eggs I bought from Marans 2XL, Ernie Haire in TX.

Wanted to share some pics from this evening

Pullet I got from Nanakat. Love love love her. I need to take pic of her with good camera to capture that beetle sheen.

I got these Muscovy hens a couple of weekends ago. I'm trying to get 2 more this weekend.

The ducks chased this dog around for a bit but they let my youngest pullets run them away from food dish.

Good Mornng Okies. Beautiful day outside.
we are pulling in the two small herds today to finish tagging and giving shots to the newest calves.
Thought I'd post a few pictures too.

First, DGibson blessed me with a quad of his lovely Bantam Delawares. The hens lays her eggs in the handing feeder every other day. The little rooster is so attentive to his girls. The two pullets are checking out the nest box too. They come out of quarantine this week.

A first time mom.. Birchen Wyandotte with her babies...A few Bantam babies from the Rosecomb and D'Anvers . They are now on the floor of the coop and two other first timers have joined in the raising and protecting.

Because her comb flips up at the end, she will be a nice layer, but won't be in the breeding pen this year. She is a great mom....will peck the heck out of your hand !



Tiny Dancer..she is such a sweet bird...talks to me all the time and likes to ride on my shoulder.

This is Dottie, and she is now laying an egg every other day. A real singer.



Keeping cool...these are keeper Wyandottes and Cochin from this year's hatches.
