i don't keep my ducks and chickens together, have you the space to separate them from the chickens?

I live in the city. We free range all of them. We do have a small coop and a large dog run that we use to keep them safe at night. But we don't have enough space to keep both separate and happy

So this weekends project are to clean out the coop and pen while letting the girls run free for a while. Also, to build a roost. My days start about 3:45 - 4 am during the week, so on the weekends I sleep in until about 5.

I use the stuff I pull out of the coop in my compost pile for the garden. I will also be working on that too.
I'm looking to expand my pen into 3 separate pens off the main pen, allowing rotation for the girls and giving more space to run. I think the only thing I will have to buy is the coated wire. I'll use some palettes and chain link fence with a layer of the coated wire for added protection. I'll post some pics as I go along. Plus, I'm thinking of getting some grass seed so as to be growing new grass as the chickens wear down the other spots. Have a good weekend y'all, I"ll be checking in periodically.

Question - Has there been the idea of having a get together for the okies on this forum? Pick a location and if you want to attend then come and meet and greet? Nothing formal, just casual?

They just had one on Labor Day near my neck of the woods- potluck, games, raffle, etc. There is another one in the spring, called POOPS (People of Oklahoma Poultry Swap) that has contests, potluck, raffle, etc. Not sure if they will do it again next year but hopefully they will!

so how much room do they have to free range? I do know that when i freerange my birds, the ducks can get ornery. On your agrressive duck, are you close to any auctions? you could rehome him that way if no one wants him here, where are you located?

Our backyard is maybe 1/2 acre. We live in tulsa
