***OKIES in the BYC III ***

@artsyrobin

(Quote button not working for me). I don't have an enclosed run so I'll have to go with putting him in a large kennel in coop for 2 weeks.

@bardies

Well I feel bad now. I totally missed your kids had birds in the show. I would have liked to have seen the showmanship part.

@muesky

The only LF brahmas I saw were light ones.

I got 3 marans pullets from a breeder out of MN. I think I got 2 wheatens and a black tailed buff. She threw in a cockerel that is a (wheaten????) splash. And of course I forgot to ask how many weeks old they are.

Kyzmette and I talked to Paul Smith by the ameraucanas. The ameraucanas were beautiful.

Thanks for all the posts about the Shawnee show. Wish I could have been there. Post more photos if you have them. I'm hoping for manageable weather this week so that we don't miss any more school days before the Christmas break.

Good morning all, it was great to see a few of you again and meet some others I had not met. All in all had a great day with good folks and good birds. I had a total of 17 in the Shawnee show the worst was 3rd in the class. Also had birds showing in Hartwell Ga and Pensacola Fl yesterday with Best and Reserve in both of those shows so all in all a very good day for my birds and myself.
That will likely be the last show I make this show season as I focus on what I really need for 2014 however some of my birds will continue traveling and being seen across the country.

Elbert- that one does look surprized!

Kim, I was so in love with Showgirls the very 1st time i saw a picture of one several yrs ago. Odd because I don't care for NN's (except for Kass's with their top hats). I must have a thing for necks though-I couldn't stop feeling this Showgirl's neck.
Your kids did awesome! That must have been so exciting for them. Was your husband upset at not being there? I suspect my husband would've rather been about anywhere else.
MJ-I was really surprised to hear you say you were too shy to go talk to Bev. I thought I was the only one like that, I'd have never guessed that about you. I feel so much better after reading that :-D I envy other people who always seem to know what to say and how to act. I can usually pull off the 'social butterfly' thing for about 10 minutes then I'm lost.
Garrett, your pair is looking wonderful. The hen almost looks really dark gray-is that her color? Beautiful. Kass-haha! The rooster does look surprised, doesn't he? I think it's his eye color that makes him look that way.
I can't believe how hefty these standard Cornish are, I'll get pictures today. They're like picking up watermelons they're so solid. I'm so glad Pepper picked the White Laced Red rooster for me-OMG he's gorgeous. I suspect they need those thick legs to hold their stout bodies up. Robin, I didn't know you had a Cornish girl this color! I thought The Dark Cornish were my favorite color until I saw these up close. Dang, they're cool looking.
Carl, congrats on your wins-you put so much into your birds!
Robin, I'm sold on Delawares. I got 3 a few months ago and their personalities are like LF Cochins-They may not be as flashy as some breeds but you'll love them. Nana has Bantam Delaware.
