I just love their round fluffy shape!!!![]()
Our newest additions will be here mid February. It can't be soon enough for our poor RStar hen, she is the one my son has decided to carry around now![]()
We ordered a Partridge Cochin roo, it looks like he will eventually get too big for my son to carry but hopefully he will be docile enough to tolerate lots of love!
The other birds in the order are production layers some more EE's (I can't wait) and 3 Buff Brahmas (one roo). That will put me up to 38 females 5 roos!
Does everyone think that is an alright ratio? The roos I have are pretty docile, one Light Brahma, one SSH, and an EE. The EE is the only one I am concerned about he is in the process of boot camp right now (which entails lots of cuddles while I do chores LOL)!
That might be OK on the number of roos, given the breeds I would say see how they get along and how they treat the hens. Most of those breeds are known for good temperament. Will they all be cooped and penned together? Will they have free range time to "get away" from each other when needed?
@artsyrobin you'd better come get this little fellow quick- he's a sweetheart and growing on me living in the spare room all week!
