Broken Arrow isn't too too far away from OKC...maybe we can do chick railroad. I am actually wondering if we will have the auction - they (meteorologists) have been talking about weather coming in. The forecast isn't too bad - but in mho lately we've gotten it worse than initially forecast a few days ahead. If you decide to try for my eggs - PM me and I'll exchange phone numbers with the Stelles. But - given my very small and uncertain numbers - I'd go with some birds already hatched from Broken Arrow.

I will remember that.  I just feel horrible, like I killed them (which, honeslty I may have - but I will never know...).

I felt the exact same way, responsible for their deaths, and I just knew it was something I'd done. It gets easier. You will hatch more, have fewer losses, still lose some, even entire hatches, but come to realize there's a reason chickens hatch a dozen at a time. Nature expects losses, and balances that out with lots of eggs to try with.

I will keep you updated, there is lots of peeping going on but no hatching yet. I will probably keep hatching silkies, it seems like someone is always looking for some and I really enjoy incubating.

@I-love-my-honey I know somebody who might be hatching Swedish Flower Hens this weekend. I'm not sure if she wants to sell any out of this hatch, but I can ask, if you want.

Thanks - I imagine it does get easier. My girls were pretty upset also. We have this animal empathy thing going in my house.
