***OKIES in the BYC III ***

his cage has a towel with a sheet on top, and part of the day he is on the bed covered with a sheet so i can keep a close eye, i am spraying his feet with vetrycin as he began fighting me on the neosporin- this will be the 4th nail, this one seems to be bothering him more- i really thought he was a she too- but watching him recover i think he was anemic and under fed so didn't develop right

This toe is probably more deeply damaged, maybe even into the toe bone not just the nail and tip. Or maybe he is feeling better enough to actually be bothered where on the first ones he was just to weak to care. Either way it is just something you will have to let time take care of. Any premature removal will just increase likelihood of infection or further injury.

Hi, I am from Auckland in New Zealand. I have one gorgeous Blue Orpington rooster (Frank), 3 Plymouth Barred Rock girls (Milly, Penny and Lucy) and 3 beautiful orpingtons, 2 splash (Gertrude and Chick Chick) and a blue named Belle. My chickens are my delight and there is nothing in this world like fresh free range eggs. I also have a shih tzu (Molly) who follows the chickens around and also six sheep.

The computer at work is bi-polar, schizophrenic, and off it's meds!!!!! lol lol lol I have been able to see the site but not post.

Someone asked about good hatcheries, I really like Meyers.

I think it was this thread that someone asked about Audra

She is NN and mottled houdan

Her bio-parents are

Mom, Thing 1 (or2)

Dad, Jaxom
I was the one that asked about her!
I compared her to a Punk Rocker, now I can see where she gets it, very formal mother and I bet Dad was far too over protective.....

There are several from your area. When I first joined the group was more western then now though.
I make of all the auctions in Newcastle and Blanchard would like to meet folks.. When I was A LOT younger we always had chickens at the barn but ,they were just chickens now as I have became older I like my chickens as much as the rest of my animals. My granddaughter really likes silkies she told me she wants one of those chickens that feel like a cat so now we have a silkie roo named Mr. cat

Had a bad asthma attack this morning, been just sitting around trying to let my lungs recover. Just took a slow stroll to the chicken coop and back. Didn't get winded but my lungs are burning and heavy again.
