***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and concern! Looks like I got really lucky. I checked her leg all over and I can't find a break anywhere. It looks like her foot may be swollen so maybe it got smashed in the destruction. She won't put any weight on it at all. Any advice on anything I could give her to help ease the swelling and or pain??

I didn't get to make the auction in Coweta.

I had a child come up sick Friday night so we stayed home. Checotah....I would have to google that to know where it is so it must be a ways from South Coffeyville.

GREAT NEWS!! My Spalding Pied showed up Saturday morning hanging out with my free range peacocks so YAY!!

Such good news! Will it be hard to catch the Spalding Pied? I have witnessed a couple of epic Peacock chases.

lost my little knitting buddy tonite- Licorice, also known as the broody from you know where...! Dang, she had crackling breathing, weight loss, i'm really tired of losing these guys- but she had a full life and raised 4 clutches- a sweet girl unless she was a mama, then you had to be real careful

I'm so sorry for your loss

Goodness Robyn! I'm so sorry. Licorice was a special hen. Her picture in your avatar is beautiful.

This year has been tough for so many of our birds across the state with weather extremes.

We lost a pretty Delaware Banty hen today that had swelling about her eye. I had quarantined her yesterday when I noticed her eye while filling the feeder in the outside pen. I was treating her with Gallimycin and Tylan50. She was a healthy weight, alert and eating and drinking well. Her breathing was normal. She died in her sleep thru the night. Just so disappointing.

Hi guys I'm a newbie okie in Blanchard OK. I just bought a pair of Millie fluer d'Uccles and am looking for another hen. Anyone know where I can get one?
