***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I have 30 going into lock down on Fri night.

I am considering loading the incubator right back up as soon as hatch is over. Since my borrowed girls will be going back home.

I have been doing staggered hatches, so I am setting eggs every Friday or Saturday and hatching every week. Whats really bad is the sportman, brinsea and LG are all packed to the gills! When does this get old? I tell myself I am doing good though because I am selling some of the chicks atleast. It's not like the 150 or so chicks I have hatched so far are all staying with me...or atleast I hope not...don't I? gahhhhhh

Yesterday was a busy day for my students. Fluffy Bunny, my lovely show girl roo, was the guest model. I'm pleased with the work he inspired. He was patient, posed well, and didn't fret until someone sprayed Axe into his sports bag. Even a roo knows that stuff stinks

This student has a good eye for pencil sketching and proportions! They are all nice of course but this one was my favorite.
I remember her!! She raised a tiny Black Cochin boy that outgrew her really fast, right? Her story was so sweet and it was so heartwarming how she took to that little chick
Yesterday was a busy day for my students. Glad to have a chat with coral, and the boys are being spoiled for their 'change'

Cayuse...thats why i only have a small bator! I know how impulsive i am!

So nice to get back on and try to catch up with everyone! I feel much normal now that I have read some chicken stories! So sorry about the sicknesses and darn predators. I worry about my chickens constantly! Looks like my coop project is on hold for awhile. Hubby broke his leg/ankle in 5 different spots because he swerved to miss a deer and went flying and hit a tree last Friday. Life is now a complete mess but hes alive and Im thankful for that. Other than that Im sick of the weather going back to cold! I wish it could stay at a nice 70 degrees.
Wow, sorry to hear your husband is hurt, but like you said he is still alive, thank God.

OK, I have lost my mind! I just put 65 eggs into lockdown! This does not include all the other ones still incubating. Maybe getting grace's incubator isn't such a good idea. I am out of control! Isn't there an incubators anonymous thread? Maybe they can help me out lol
I set my sportsman up yesterday. I may be joining you.

I hope that the students appreciated having such a pretty model to work for them. Thank you so much for sharing!
