ok, thanks for the info this is what i have looks like it smells like sour dough brad. would you feed it now or wait i forget when i started it.Yes mostly, sprouts are generally fed out at about 4 days, fodder to 7-8day range.
I think the chickens get as much benefit from the sprouts as the actual fodder, maybe even more depending on which site you believe. Sprouts are easiest in a sprouting bag, you can make it from burlap or just use thrift store pillow cases, or make bags from thrift store or old worn out sheets. Just soak over night in the bag, you don't need to rinse daily since the bag keeps things moist, then just invert the bag over a stick in the ground in the run and chickens can eat at their leisure all day, they will clean the bag off for you. I have posted a video on the sprouting thread it is the easiest way I have ever found.
