Also, an update on my birds. The one that was sick this morning seems to be doing much better. Unfortunately, two others are showing signs of not being well, 1 much worse than the other. I am feeding them hard boiled eggs and the chick electrolyte water. I'm really hoping they all survive. I think I won't be getting much sleep tonight.

The good news is I see NO bugs on any of them. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that helped me through this. Its been a bit stressful but I'm glad to know its something I can handle, and even better I can prevent it in the future-at least I feel confident that I know some things to keep an infestation at bay.

Sigh, it just happened again. I think Lord Dingwald suffered some internal injuries the other day, because he's been under the weather ever since. I thought he was just healing, but this morning I noticed his comb was looking a little dusky. I went out to get him with the intention of keeping him inside for a few days to doctor him up, but as I was carrying him in, he seized in my arms and died. Poor baby boy.

I moved my baby NNs outside today. They are in a mobile coop with more room than they know what to do with. Fly, fly, fly was the order given by the NN that turned out to be a BCM cockerel. I think I have three girls and three boys. NN fool me all the time. Let's see if my gender guesses match with anyone else's.

I don't have a lot of experience with NNs but I would make the same guesses.
I got 18 NN eggs, indirectly from Buckguy, that a supposed to be Blue. I only want a couple of dark-skinned hens so if I get a good hatch I will bring a bunch to POOPS!

I want to find some nice NN pullets for Hercule, the roo Kass gave me. So far, I've got three, if I'm getting the gender right on these chicks. If you end up with extra blue NN pullets, I'm interested : )

So, as far as Norman/Blanchard area goes do we have any auctions or swaps besides the Newcastle one? I'm limited on how far I can travel these days because I have a breastfeeding infant that HATES car rides. He's already traveled much farther than he wanted to for chickens his mama just had to have!
