***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hey all, it has been forever since I have been on the thread. The hours at this job are killing me. 6000 unread posts. Jeezum crow. I haven't gone through them all so what is the word on POOPS? Hopefully I will see some of you fine folks tomorrow night at Newcastle. Gotta thin out some of the flock. Has anyone ever done straw bale gardening? I am giving It a shot this year. Hope everyone one is doing well.
here is the info on POOPS...

You may want to look into colloidal silver which you can get at some health food stores. I buy one of those saline nasal products dump it out and fill it with CS and use it as well as taking an once in the morning, two or three times a day if I get the start of a sore throat. No you will not turn blue unless you take a gallon a day. lol google it. I find it to be great stuff. If you are already ill then you get well faster by taking it. Just a suggestion. If you have sick chick add an ounce or two (per gallon) their water. Hope ya feel better.

where do you get your colloidal silver? I've heard controversial things about the purity and contamination of this stuff, so I really don't know much about it at all.

Still so sick, not able to get anything done, getting further behind on the garden. Worried it is settling into pneumonia.

I am going to assume that being a health care professional you did go and see a doctor? If not it's time. Pneumonia is nothing to fool with, had it twice this winter and now my breathing is diminished.

OK folks, need some ideas. Do y'all have a winter feed and water set up and a different set up for summer? I can't seem to settle on anything that works year round. Also I'll be moving birds from a pen with a big house to several coops and the run of the yard. FENCE NEARING COMPLETION, AMEN!
So does anyone keep food and water inside the coop or is it better outside. Water i think inside so they can drink when they are cooped.
My feed gets wet when it rains so I was thinking also of feeding in a separate house. i have a dog house that would be good for that purpose and would also serve as an additional shelter if needed. Appreciate your comments, you're the best!

MJ and Kassaundra and anyone else who is having sinus/allergy problems; you might try using a Neti Pot. I've resisted getting one because I thought it was kinda gross and that I wouldn't like using it, but since I've been using one a month or two, my respiratory allergies are MUCH better, even right now in the height of spring allergy season. I cough much, much less and haven't had a deep cough since I started using it. You can get one at Walmart, Walgreens, or many other stores that have pharmacy departments. No prescription is needed.

The Neti Pot is a small ceramic or plastic teapot sort of thing that comes with tiny packets of a saline solution. You add water and use it to irrigate your nostrils and sinuses. It only takes about one tv commercial break (LOL), and isn't that bad. Definitely worth the trouble and slight discomfort. I know several other people who use one and get a lot of relief from its use.

Hello, I make my own actually. I sent off for a kit, then later went on line and bought some .999 pure silver 14 gauge wire, which was about $50 for 10 ft. The kit is just three 9 volt batteries connected in series and a led to indicate it is connected with two small jumper wires. Then I bought a $50 TDS meter to test the level of silver in the distilled water. Not really rocket science, but can be difficult to the lay person who has not done it before. I suggest finding a source on line or a health food store at first, then research it. It can't hurt you as we expel it in our urine. It is a heavy metal, but in the nano particle range it is harmless to all life forms except, bacteria, virus, and such. As I said research it on line. Good luck. Hope this helps.
