***OKIES in the BYC III ***

My oh my!!! I was helping the kids pick up sticks before we mowed and I found giant mushrooms!!! I think they are Calvatia Gigantia. Anyone with mushroom experience?? I also found some neat lily looking plants and a black eyed Susan. The lady that had this place before us had a green house and sold plants so there are strange plants popping up wild from the seeds blowing around. What do you guys think these are?? I also have tons of yarrow growing. What do I do with yarrow?

Kassaundra, do you sell pullets?
How do the cocks hold onto the hens w/o any feathers back there?

Sometimes they grab the topknot, sometimes the neck. I have a NN pullet I keep having to isolate because the rooster and one of the other hens grab her by the skin on her neck and rip it open. :( I've tried twice. After she heals this time I am going to put her in a different pen with a younger group, it is obviously not working for her.

No you didn't! I have dibs on a pullet first. Don't make me take my jewelry off lol

I am rebuilding my flock, yes I would sell pullets, I'm sure I'll have a few extra this year, but may not know who is extra until late summer / early fall. I will choose my keepers when they are full grown so I can see final size / color / pattern / top knot / temperment etc.....

Anyone getting birds from me needs to know I am not npip cert. I do not vaccinate or treat illness. (well I guess I do but ..............

this just means Kass gets to be super picky about the girls she keeps for her own flock/breeding program! Lol
