Cut out the round section and use that to cap the end of the PVC tube. Use the kind of sealant you would use for an aquarium to both cap the tube and join the tube to your waterer. Put the nipple wherever in the tube you need it. You could also buy just the cap, drill the hole in your bucket a little smaller than the cap, and use sealant to affix the cap to the bottom of the bucket. The caps may not be long enough for you, though. You can make the tube however long you want it, and you can either put the nipple in the capped off end on the bottom, or you can affix the horizontal nipples around the bottom of the cap. If you do the horizontal nipples, just be aware that the larger chickens may step on them, which would get poop in them and undo the reason for using the nipples to begin with.
