***OKIES in the BYC III ***

@artsyrobin here is Priscilla and her brood in the tractor. They free range everyday with the flock but still go to bed in their own coop. The little roo is so pretty. I named him D'artagnan (I was watching the three musketeers)

Anyone have a guess as to what this guy is? He was suppose to be a bantam but is way bigger than all my bantam Cochins ect

I had a D'artanion, a long haired tuxedo cat, he was my baby.

@Loriemarler they really grew up pretty! Love the little roos name!

Well, Boo Boo now has a buddy, found one of the ducklings in the middle of the run, not sure whether he got stepped on or what, but am giving him electrolites, and he now is keeping his eyes open, still having some instability at standing- his beak looks scraped

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of the kids.

My golden ginger red is finally getting his tail feathers. About 5 months old.

Approximately 6 wk old Black Marans. Noticed the red at the waddles and comb more distinct than the siblings. Still to early to tell if it's a roo? Opinions?

I'm not familiar with Black Marans, but in my Black Copper Marans at 6 weeks I would call that 90% sure pullet.

Hi! I'm new to the chicken world, I live in green country. I picked up six chicks today and I'm realizing (with help) that I probably have several roos. I can't keep that many. What do people usually do with them?

dog food when they get too cheeky before I'm willing to take the time to prepare them for human consumption.

If they hang around long enough, maybe we'll eat them, it has yet to be seen.

Sale or give them away on Craigslist or take them to auction. Eat them. Or can have them caponized (neutered).

Keep them, build them yards, feed and house them for life
