***OKIES in the BYC III ***

According to the news we are currently being infested w/ army worms and some people are spraying toxic chemicals on their lawns to get rid of them. I say bring them suckers on, I have a hoard of hungry chickens to take care of that! And no chemical residue just some tasty eggs and lawn fertilizer.

What? I missed that news report I guess. Wish people would quit spraying stuff. It's killing out the bees and that's never a good thing.

Wow I love the champagne. I guess let me know when you have pelts ready to sell. What are you tanning with? And where are you located?

I havent attempted tanning yet. I am thinking the alum way. I just haven't been brave enough to take the plunge. I live in Westville, Oklahoma. I will definately let you know. My brother raises silver foxes as well so we can hook you up!

just had to look up army worms, sevin works on them, so i would think any permethrin spray would be safe, since we spray it around the birds with no problems- but i'll bet the guineas will take care of it- they will clear them out...:)

now you guys are gonna make me want a couple bunnies!

Sad about OklaDoodle :-( I always thought he was going to move back here.
I don't know the Serama person in Newalla but if you don't take the Frizzled rooster, I will lol That'd be the perfect rooster for your grand daughter!
I think Serama's are just fragile in the egg. I've set *5* of Channing's eggs from his hen and they've all started growing then died about day 5 :-(
@Kassaundra , I am SO going to beat you within an inch of your life lol! Good thing you're a paramedic. You KNEW I had no self-control. Yet you shamelessly posted baby rabbit pictures! I'm picking up yet another rabbit tonight, it's too the point I'm too embarrassed to admit how many I have. I've got 3 boys neutered so far, 2 more hopefully next week. This vet does an awesome job, I'm really impressed.

Mitzi, I am going to have to get behind you in line to beat on @Kassaundra ! Bow ties are cool! My daughter and I now watch Dr Who. Thank goodness for the reruns on BBC!. We've gotten through most of David Tennants episodes (our favorite) and about 2/3 through Matt Smith's. I actually finally joined the 21st century and got a DVR so that we might record the episodes last Saturday in spite of having to get ready for our local livestock fair. Anyway - I have done a few episodes of Dr # 9. When I realized that there was a long term story line running through the 'seasons', I couldn't help myself! We are officially hooked - have over 30 hours of back episodes to see before being caught up with the modern versions. I do not think we will be going back to the 80's series, thank goodness. Thanks Kass!

I have some tanned pelts from my New Zealands. We used alum to tan them with if you're interested in plain ol white.
