***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well, after asking, I wasn't able to go and I'm disappointed. I had one of "those" days. You know, the kind of day where you had a flat tire yesterday on one of your brand new tires, and put the donut on your car so you could go to Hibdon's today so you could cash in on that Road Hazard guarantee you bought, but when you sat down in your car this morning you kind of fell in because for some reason it was way too low to the ground, and that reason turned out to be that your donut was flat. Yeah... that kind of morning.

oh no! Im so sorry! I know about those days and honestly it's usually better to stay home. I did make it and stayed a couple hours. Very fun to watch. One day ill b able to actually bid! Hope things are better tomo!

im going to bring my daughter, she is 7, and she is my chicken buddy! :)

Just had one of those days too. paid $160 to have the septic line at the rent house roto-rooted out and the next day spent $900 for a new well pump.

Huh? It's getting bad when your forums have to tell you it's your birthday. 71;!? My how time flies when you're having fun.
I've got a clutch of (4) jap white blacktails 3 weeks old, and a clutch of (3) just hatched, and their biddy hen mamma's are so happy. I'll be headin' out to the barn to check on'em directly.

Sorry Kelly- we had one of those "WEEKS" not long ago- on the way to take one car (old van) in for major engine trouble (turned out the alternator was severely cracked so much so the mechanic was surprised it hadn't shot through the hood already), got a flat in a tire we thought was decent in the OTHER car (new van). Turned out we needed all new tires. The next day one of the new tires was flat- we needed a new rim the old one was flaking and causing the tire to lose air. The day after that- the air in the new van stopped working- no heat, air, cool, nothing. Turned out we needed a new motor AND a relay for the air system. Oh and a window was stuck down so we needed a new motor for that. I sure hope we have everything fixed now.... cleaning the old van today and getting it up for sale.

Got 9 new ladies yesterday, some laying hens and a couple pullets, we also finished converting three dog pens in a pole barn from the previous owner of the farm into three chicken pens. I got 3 creamy lovely Buffs, a barred, 3 golden hens with black penciling that my friend breeds, a gorgeous black sumatra pullet a mystery pullet my friend threw in because she said it looked like a Texas bird. Lol (I am a Texan). Named that lil' lady Dallas. Got my first two eggs last night from that bunch. :) having a ball. Peace. :)

For all those who have been having "those" kinds of days, I'm going to walk into my kitchen right this minute, grab my first cup of coffee for the day, take a deep breath, feel a smile blossom inside me, and breath a little prayer for sunshine and laughter for the days ahead. Those days were yesterday, and when it all fits into perspective it has its humor and good points. And at least the coffee is good if the sting of yesterday still hasn't worn off.

Coffee and a better day in 3... 2....Aaahhhh
