Well I'm not a vet, so you could try the oxytet. The ointment sounds like generic neosporin.

I called Four Corners and talked to my friend from long ago Dr. Zinn. He gave me some sulmet and told me to discontinue the tetracycline. I finally feel like I am not doing everything wrong! Thank you again for everything!

That sounds like a much more reasonable treatment for the symptoms. Glad you finally have a vet in your pocket that you can trust!

My brother, Tom, is improving, but will be wheelchair bound for another three weeks. He dislocated his left shoulder and tore the rotator cuff, and broke his left pelvis in three places. Had surgery the next day (August 29) on the pelvis. He was at his future retirement home in Texas--teaches at a university in China. His Chinese wife arrived Sept.10 (didn't make sense for her to come before then). Vashi and I were there within hours of his fall because we were coming to visit with my two brothers and sister-in-law--didn't know of the fall until we got there. We went home until he was to be released from the hospital, and I went back to be his primary caregiver until his wife arrived. It was necessary for me to stay because neither can drive or cook and she had to be taught to care for him. It is very difficult for this very independent man to have to stay in the wheelchair! He has very limited use of his left arm (so the shoulder can heal), and has about 8 more weeks before he can put ANY pressure on his left leg.

After a comedy of errors by hospital staff and doctor, we FINALLY got physical therapy started yesterday. He should heal completely, though.

Vashi and I are VERY happy I'm back home--2 1/2 weeks is a long time!

When I was picking up my 2 rabbit neuters this afternoon at Four Corners vet, there was someone there with a Wheaten Ameraucana in the exam room.

I know i was looking at metal boxes but they can get exspensive, I had purchased a two hole at Atwoods and it was 30.00, plus they seem to never have any when I am in there. Nanakat mailed me some plans on building some so i will see if I can do that.

2 1/2 weeks in a high tension, very emotional environment, I would imagine. So glad that the prognosis is good!

You're absolutely correct about the tension! Aso by far the longest Vashi and I have been apart in our 31 years of marriage.
