***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Thank you sooooo much Nanakat!!! Oh my goodness I did just like you said; and it. Was. AWESOME! Best chicken and dumplins I ever had, Hands down!!! Just had to say thank you so much! I havent been back on since that day so needless to say I have a lot of catching up to do... but I hope everyone is well and take my advice and try nanakats recipe... YUM! :)

Today's the day... I've never had duck before so this is all new! Two 6 month old muscovy drakes, live weight 7 lbs each, dressed weight 4 lbs each, parted out 6 1/2 lbs total. The breast steaks are IMPRESSIVE. Going to do some crockpot, some as duck steaks, and the smaller pieces as fried duck.

Awesome job. @hotcurltr got me hooked on muskovy.

Well, the Rudster got left yesterday by his, hotsy, totsy "woman".  She didn't like the tied down life and left to pursue the party life w/ her gal pals and the big stud boy toys.  He was crushed and is doing the treat call for the buns, but they don't seem to appreciate crickets.

Poor Rudy :-( i've got a 12 lb rabbit in the 10x20 Silkie bachelor pen and 2 huge rabbits in a 10x10 with an oriental rooster. They actually make wonderful roomies. You might consider just keeping Rudy in with all those fur coats for the winter.

Each morning I go out, check feeders, open coop doors, etc. and each morning I have a trail of 8 mismatched roosters following me making the rounds with me. They're my boys that are loose in the backyard. Chicken owning certainly has its ups and (lots of) downs, but by God these boys sure make me feel special every morning. I do love my boys.

I'm trying to but have not had a lot of luck keeping the soil wet enough. i have a small gecko he is picky he won't eat wax worms or millies. he only will eat crickets and flies.
He is so cute!!! I was given 2 adult geckos for my classroom a couple weeks ago so that brings me up to 4 insect eating reptiles I need to provide food for. Ok. Tell me about dubias? I'm kind of creeped out by the word roach. Do I have to order them online to get started?

Thanks, i wish i could get him to eat the millies i have been successful at raising them so i just feed them to my chickens since he wont eat them. he is so tiny im not sure if he would be able to eat dubias or i might consider them too

He would be able to eat the young ones.

My daughter called and said ballet is cancelled for tomorrow, so I'm bringing the girls to Coweta! I have to stop and pick up my new big fluffy boy from Jeansrie too, so I'll be running late.

If you guys bring any of your kidlings, let me know. I'll pick up some snacks for them.
