***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hope you get to feeling better SOON!

Love your son's ear to ear grin!

Thought I'd post a picture of my project...creating an Olaf costume for a 6 foot tall man....
The head is almost finished...needs the eyebrows hot glued and a strap to button the back of the head to the waistband to keep it from falling forward. The hat inside has a chin strap to keep it on his head. It is surprisingly light...made of some chickenwire and wire sewn onto the brim of a straw hat. you can see thru the gauzy sheer fabric of the mouth. The brim of the hat is part of the upper lip....

Ill put a gather line on the cape at the back of the head to let it cup in for a "neck"
I have hoola hoops for the bottom snowball and am making the arms out of brown and black material to make it look like bark...and brown gloves. will probably make the chest snowball like a stuffed shirt.....
Awesome job

Rushing around and can't type but right now but @NanaKat I wanted to tell you I love my new rooster-boys! I ended up putting them for now in a 30x30 yard until they get used to things. After 2 or 3 wks I'll open up the gate and let them mingle. It seems like the more roosters I add the better they all get along.

Nice find on the bator!

His three year old daughter still believes in Santa, so he dresses up like Santa several times before Christmas and waves at her thru the windows. Since she is enamored with all things Frozen, he wants to do the same with Olaf. I thought it would be a neat project to attempt. He will make good use of the costume also. Several folks have already told him they want photos with Olaf.
Found hoola hoops today...so we are on go mode now for the rest of the costume.

I bet if you put an ad in the local paper for Olaf pictures you would have a line of eager young girls and maybe a few boys.
Yes, lol .... and lots of Grandparents who want to impress their grandchildren....Scott says he will find many opportunities to put the costume to good use.
Handcock's Fabric in Shawnee is already sold out of their stock of "Frozen" fabrics and have ordered more. It is hard to believe this movie has made such a hit.

Mitzi...
We have had one tiny Serama hatch along with two Columbian Wyandotte....thought of your tiny chick when I saw this one. It is at least 1/5 the size of the lf chicks. Not sure the other two Serama eggs will hatch....

I'm sending you those pictures of the other boys in a PM. Let me know if you are interested.....enable...enable....enable.

is there still an auction in Newcastle and at Blanchard? I need to run a ton of cages and such to them if so. I am going to try not to be as much a stranger even if I am a stranger LOL I do see a lot of new faces on here thats awesome indeed,

Good to see ya back. You may want to think twice about letting the cages go so soon.
You might need them next year. And the best part is . . . You don't have to feed them as long as they're empty.
