***OKIES in the BYC III ***

My Red Currant Tomatoes are out of control again this year. They are so tiny and time consuming to pick but this year I am waiting till all the fruit on each cluster is ripe and I cut off the whole cluster. I toss the clusters in the pens and watch the festivities. There are so many that everybody gets plenty. .
Beautiful!! I'll have to try this kind, my tomatoes did not do so well.

The snake moved. I can't find my branch loppers. I'm going to wait until DH gets home. The chickens are going in and out of the barn through the main door, but none have ventured past the feed barrels.

That netting is much smaller than what I've been using. I see you have it fastened vertically. I thought you were supposed to kind of crumple it up and lay it on the ground? I'm on my way to town so I'll pick some up larger screen.

Lots of changes in our family this week. My mother in law moved out. It kinda took me by surprise. I knew they were having issues a while back, but thought they had worked past them. It is second marriages for both, and this anniversary would have been 6th I believe. It's always sad when a marriage doesn't work, but I hope this brings both peace. Now my FIL is getting rid of his chicken flock, I forget what they are, but layers I know, nothing fancy, I know they have too many feathers! lol (in my world there are NN and not NN, lol lol lol )

I have a cock that was born at the end of april When i first noticed he was acting funnie it was because i keep finding him on his back in the brooder then i brought him in and noticed he had dark poo with a little blood in it so i started treating him for coccidia with corid. his comb got very pail almost white and he pooed out blood for a couple of days thought for sure he was a goner but he pulled through the only thing is he can not walk well he weaves around like a drunk and sometimes dose the split and some times seem not to be able to get one of his feet under him what do you think happened ( over.dose or lack of blood?) and do you think it is permanent? he has been like this almost a month i think. Or could i have been preexisting and not related to the coccidia?

I think the real problem left him vulnerable to the coccidia overload. You fixed that w/ the meds now he still has the underlying problem. At one month in I would bet it is a chronic thing. If it was a blood loss issue it would take much less then one month for the body to fix that.

humm... have any idea what would cause it, something neurological? his feet were perfectly straight at birth but i noticed the one foot the toes are curled up now. so he will probably never be able to walk right?
