Me too. My mom is a member of the association. Their poultry laws are more rigid than Okc's. In fact, Okc laws do not specifically ban backyard poultry. If you call the offices that are supposed to able to tell you the policies, they don't even know them. The only specific thing we found is a noise ordinance.
The noise ordinance crap hacks me off. Dogs typically make more noise than chickens, barking day and night. Roos go to bed at night, and stop carrying on until morning. Not to mention how rarely a noise ordinance is enforced for dog owners. Such a poorly thought out excuse. The fact that we can have hens is basically an exploited loophole for us at this point and may not last.
