I always felt bad for the calves. When they first got to our farm the cried for their moms. At least the farmer we got our calves from let them nurse for a week but that made it harder to get them to use the bucket. My Dad got frustrated because I tamed and named the calves. When they would hear the barn door up they would bawl attention because they would think it was me. He said that they weren't pets and to name them "T-bone", Rib-eye" and "Ground Chuck".

we had a nice little rain here this morning. Didn't check to see how much. Very nice evening but missed being out in it. Did get some good religion in me though!

Got food to everybody...will work on other stuff in the morning.

All us boys got our ears lowered...we will have everything packed up tomorrow evening...we sure are excited!

When the boys asked me what the chickens names were I said, Kiev, potpie, cordon blue, instead they named them things like Junior and anicka.

I'm getting excited to ,got some stuff loaded, and got the bags packed except for essentials . Sure hope all the cages fit in the truck, may have to bag the luggage and put it on the mower trailer! Birds come first!lol

Went shopping for fruit, so I could get ready to do a fruit tray for P.O.O.P.S...... went to 2 stores, all I can come up with is Watermelon, Strawberries & Grapes. Everything else just looked awful. Guess I will do 3 trays, one of each fruit. Now, I just have to figure out if the fruit fits in the cooler, or I can have DH bring the trays with him when he comes. He doesn't plan on showing up until the processing.

What time does everyone plan on showing up. I was worried about showing up @ 8am & my two kids not having anything to do for a while, but I don't want to miss out on any eggs or chicks!

currently workng on a message for the end of the month...I will be using props! pigeons! While doing research for readings I keep getting side tracked...yeah I know surprising!
