Yeah in sporting goods it's just a minnow trap and the funny thing is I know I have 2 of them somewhere I just need to find them LOL

I didn't have any trouble removing the snake but I'm a snake person anyway, I just opened the trap and took it out it didn't even offer to bite unless its just agitated or your hurting it rat snakes tend to be kinda docile and not to hard to handle, Bull snakes on the other hand are born with a bad attitude LOL

I guess you could place it in the fridge till it goes somewhat dormant and then take it out or take it somewhere and relocate it

Hey you know what! I guarantee if I put a snake in the fridge that I would lose weight!

TSC didn't know what Corid or Sulmet was, she called someone to find out that Sulmet was seasonal and Corid was on the shelf lol.

So its not only my TSC who employs city kids? lol. Im just joking, people gotta support themselfs, my TSC is at least VERY friendly and will go to lengths to get you what you need. I tend to buy feed at TSC because Atwoods only carries 40lb bags and TSC has 50lb bags. Its also more conveniant for me sense TSC is right behind wal-mart, were I work.

The snakecage thingy is so cool i gotta have one to catch lots of pretty slithering snakies, where you get it at in walmart?

ronie i would have to disagree with that last line( pritty slithering things ) snakes are creepy stinky pest that still eggs ans eat chicks this time are year they are one of the worst pest last year i had a 8 footer black rat eating 3 mounth old birds aaaarg they creep me out

Woah - I'm trying to picture my DH opening the fridge door and finding a chilly snake! He is not a snake person.

The snake in the fridge reminds me of when my brother was in high school and trapped Musk Rats for their pelts. He checked traps every morning before school but one morning he didn't have time to take care of his catch before he had to leave for school. He put it in a plastic pail and stuck it in our chest freezer. Much later that day Mom went to the freezer to get some meat for dinner and suprize! She wasn't very happy.

HAHA, that reminds me when I was a kid, I put a fresh killed coon in the deep freeze in a walmart bag and forgot it....my mom found it and oh man, you talk about FREAK OUT !!!!!

I lost 5 chicks in that coop already and this snake has a couple small lumps in it so I suspect I may have caught the reason for the missing babies, I found 3 last year that were larger and had been eating eggs this one makes the second one in the last week I've caught the other was near my other pens but it didn't look to have eaten in a while. I'm sure any sporting goods or fish and tackle shops would have them, I got this one from the Purcell walmart I wouldn't have even thought about it but I found it in an odd isle where someone had dumped it having changed thier minds I guess LOL

Joe my friend several years ago I heard a commotion in my shop and went to investigate. 5ft blacksnake killed a silkie pullet I had, she was not small. Guess he was gonna crush her and eat her? I did kill that guy with a maglite but otherwise I just let the buggars go. Now anything poisonus on the property is diffrent story, but we have not had a single poisonous snake in the 5-6 years we have lived here. But several black snakes and the occasional gartner snake. I cant blame the snakes for coming after my eggs, my hens do lay delicious eggs after all.

Howdy everyone, had 3 goslings hatch today under a goose they seem to be doing good. Hey Elwood Lightfoot, great idea for a snake trap if there were a contest for those you would win that one too. I'm not allowed to put snakes in the fridges or freezers anymore I had a coral snake in the freezer for a couple of years but I finally got rid of it because I was told it had to go or I had to go.

Thanks LOL I went after work today and picked up an Embden Gander for my two Females I went ahead and put him in with them and they are getting along very well, I still don't know if they will lay this late in the year but I'm going to provide a couple places to lay eggs just in case they decide laying is a good idea LOL
