***OKIES in the BYC III ***

About 3 years ago there was a tornado that struck the Clayton area very close to my father's home. He has some good friends that were struck hard by it, their home, barn and most of their pasture was blown away. They had two horses in the barn, Tauby and Sox, both horses were near fatally injured. Sox face was nearly ripped off, and Tauby was impaled through the stomach by a 2x4 along w/ many other injuries. After being stabilized they went to pasture on my Father's land, and now even though their pasture and barn are whole again they still come and spend their summers in my fathers pasture. Anyway that is just a little history for the pics to come, they are Tauby (white) and Sox (brown)

The bearded one is my father.

Seriously!!!!! Those two had a white baby, it's hopeless I will never get chicken genetics!!!!!!

The hen in that picture isn't the mother, I couldn't find a pic of the Mottled hen. Rebecca, (Muesky) has her now. The Black mottled hen is from a flock of Blues and Blacks, so maybe the chick is a splash?

I have early birds! 3 so far and tomorrow is day 21 for them still have over 60 eggs to hatch (chicken) Later I should have ducks hatching in two shifts the pekins then a few days after the muscovy I don't have a lot of them left they didn't make it past the last candeling, and only one of the golden champain (sp) seemed to have been fertile and it's doing well so far a lot of the Welsummoners (sp) again LOL) should be hatching now a lot of those did well so far. Oh and I have one goose eggs I just put in LOL just to see if it will

Good morning all!!! It is raining here as I type!!! We need the rain! Thunder woke me about 2:30am, not sure how long it has rained. Hope everyone has a wonderful day, I actually woke up without a toothache so I hope that's a good sign, we will see how it goes today! It is finally Friday, I have a lot to get done today, the rain may put a damper on some of it though!!! That's OK, it'll be here when I get to it. Have a blessed day all! Lynn

Morning Okies! It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today can't go by fast enough!

I got some stuff done last night, a few more pictures on the wall & some stuff put away. Pretty proud of myself.
