Just wanted to show off our new chicken coop and introduce our four pullets. The chicken coop started as a 40"x40" frame (use to be a homemade cement mix stand). My hubby and I worked on turning that frame into a 41"x 71" chicken coop (plus the 41" x 18" nesting area). So, for our anniversary, we worked on that coop for 3 days! Of course, he thought we would be done in a few hours

We are very proud of our work. The coop needs some more tweaking, but is working for now. We plan to replace the chicken wire with hardware cloth - we read about that a little too late. The coop has a pull out "drawer" for the litter. We are using the deep litter method. Has several roost areas and room for 3 nesting boxes. I need to get a good pic of the front. This first pic is actually the backside. It has a small door that opens up into our garden - for free play time.

CoCo - She is a Welsummer - about 9 weeks old
Gertie - She is a blue Ameraucana - about 9 weeks old
Liberty - She is an Ameraucana - not sure of the color - about 9 weeks old
Trudy - Our Barred Rock - about 11 weeks old
