I don't see how anyone that started out here could end up there LOL. Just kidding. We still have green but is it quickly drying up, I hope we get some real rain soon. I keep waiting for the fires to start up around here.
Hey, what is wrong with here! We got trees and creeks. Its just that the water has a red tint to it. And we also have a poultry auction within driving distance almost every week. What I don't understand is why my grandparents moved from north of Muldrow to Okc years ago. Nicut Okla. makes Muskogee look like it is part of western okla. LOL
Hey! I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm south of Guthrie just west of Lazy E. We've had "yard chickens" that my husband lured over here yrs ago when the neighbors moved off and left them but that was the extent of it until I recently fell in love with a Blue Cochin at a yard sale & started researching chickens. The rest is history I'm sure you all are familiar with I've got 16 Silkie babies & 3 of the most precious week old Royal Palm poults under brooder lamps currently (seperately). Oh, we also have a Guinea named 'Speedy' who's 12 yrs old now and 4 almost-grown Guinea juvies for Speedy to fuss over. He's trying his best to get them all to roost in the tree when HE'S ready for bed but the youngsters want to stay up past Speedy's 6:00 PM bedtime lol
I have some Cochin & Polish eggs due to hatch in 4 days but I don't want to get my hopes up. I still want a blue Cochin soooo badly. We're working like crazy on a secure run and coop but it's almost getting too hot to be outside.

If you want some Blue Cochins we are selling our Blue breeder Pen at the moment other than promises to show we have nothing, the birds are still here. 3 Blue hens, Blue Rooster, and 3 Black Hens. Very nice birds.

Glad you got some good buys. Love the bunnies
Seemed like there were quite a few rabbits there and a lot of ducks, I saw at least one gosling I told Carla I saw turkeys back there and figured her and Gerald were there she said she didn't bring and didn't think there were any there I could have been wrong to long in the heat I mighta been seeing things LOL Thank you for the chickens Deanne I'll have more time to spend with them in the morning if I ever get to sleep tonight that is, I had meant to tell Teva when I saw her that I have sooo many Rats now those two female are great breeders and don't fuss too much when I clean out cages even with the babies, The only thing at the sale I'd like to have had was the 3 chainlink panels did anyone notice what they sold for?
I'm sure U will find a Blue Cochin here, are U looking for banty or large fowl Cochins. I have two young blue ones but I'm saving them for my brother. He had to sell all his birds after the tornado in April took all his pens.

I built a 2 story log home one half mile north of four mile road and highway 49.it has a green roof and you can see it from highway forty nine. Does anyone know if it burned? Or, the close neighbor's houses? I found a picture on one of the news sites showing the section and it looked burned but I couldn't see any of the houses.
I must have planted a thousand trees, counting all the little twigs from the state. I hope they didn't all get burned down. That property diidn't even have weeds or a blade of grass when I first bought it, it had been so overgrazed and abused. I sure hope all the trees and houses weren't burned. I bought forty acres, built the log home and sold five parcels, which also had homes built on them.
Next time we go down that way ill look an take some pic's for you...
