***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Our Pyrenees died last night. When I found him yesterday he was looking awful. He had been hiding out somewhere for a few days. Found him & brought him in to get him out of the heat- his organs had already started shutting down- wasn't anything we could do for him. He was my oldest DD. Both of the girls are pretty upset- not a very good start to our weekend.

Just a reminder check on your dogs often. We had been doing our best but he wondered off & I had only seen him twice in the past week. I knew something was up but couldnt find him to do anything about it.

Sad day @ our place.

Hope the recent rains help cool all the animals for a bit

Everone was oowing and awhing over my geneticly enghineered chickens earlier. I lost one hen due to the heat and stress of getting her home from the auction. Now that hatching season is shot due to incubator, I put the pair on craigslist. Anyone on here interested will take 50 for the pair. Guy

Old Cowboy- sorry for your dog and your family. It is so hard to loose a faithful pet.

There's a Craigslist add on the Fayetteville, AR site today that says there will be a poultry swap up by
Prairie Grove, ARk on Saturday morning starting at 7:00 a.m. I don't know if that's close to any of you
Okies, but thought I'd mention it. We don't have too many poultry things go on in my neck of the woods,
so I'm all excited. You can check it out on Fayetteville Craigslist, if interested.
We have had rain two days in a row out in Wonderful Rural Rudy, AR where I live. I have been thanking
the Good Lord repeatedly for the showers and the cool down. I know it's only temporary, and the heat
will return, but any reprieve at all is helpful.

And I have to ask - how did you genetically engineer this chicken and what do you call it - er what were the parents, and how
long did it take to engineer this chicken? You've probably already told the story previously, but I didn't want to read back through 600 pages to find out.

Hello neighbors. South central oklahoma here. Where the weather has been nice and warm, LOL, hotter than you know what. Are you guys getting any rain at all ? We have not gotten any measurable rain for the past 6 weeks in my area, our last rain was about 1/10 inch.

they were breed for the fly tying industry to have long multi colored hackle and saddle feathers over many many years often barred as they make for better lures.
