***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I do have some cross chicks, but they are fully feathered and highly independent. I doubt they'd listen to a broody. I've also got two barred rock pullets not yet sold. They are 10 weeks old, very curious, and should turn out to be really good layers. Momma is, anyway.

Here are a few snaps of the cross grow-out pen so you can get an idea of how big the chicks are.

Hey Michael, I would like to try that fishing spot. I need a new place to go because most of the places I've been going are drying up. I'll PM you.

How often do you fish Michael ??? We have a dozen poles in the barn & haven't had time to fish in the past yr. Now that we are only a few miles from Lake Burtschi I have to find time to take the girls. I always see people out there so I am guessing that something must be biting.

Ksane the temperment of the NNs can only be described as awesome. I have never had any of the roosters we have had challenge me and the hens are good layers, friendly and make great moms. Most will accept chicks that they didn't hatch and will even sometimes steal chicks from other hens.

Both hens and roosters get along well with other breeds and will not usually start trouble but if another bird starts trouble with them they will be happy to finish it.

Michael,
They must LOVE the shade of those plants. That's exactly how I want to do my Turkey Run. What kind of plant is that? That's not grape vines, is it? (I'm ignorant when it comes to plants). That would look so cool to have all around my turkey pen and it would be great shade.
