I have grown wild roses and climbing roses on the east and west sides of a chicken run I had years ago they did really well and helped to deter a few predators also with all the thorns. I think I have a pic of them when they were still young I'll scan if I can find them, The old coop and run are still there after 15 years although they haven't had chickens in them for over 10 years the roses still look great while they're in bloom

) They follow us all around "helping" with everything we're building for the coop and run. I love them! We had 2 roosters and a hen that came here to live years ago when the neighbors moved. Well the one rooster ("Guido") was always the outcast because the other rooster claimed the lone hen and wouldn't share. Well ever since we brought the 6 girls home Guido thinks he's died and gone to Heaven. He actually FEEDS the girls-he finds bugs and *brings them to the girls and gives them to them. It's so touching to see
