I got a shipment of keets this morning. 6 different colors, royal purple, violet, brown, chocolate, buff dundotte, and slate. All the birds arrived happy & healthy. Now I have high hopes of even more colorful hatches next season.

After I got the birds in the box I ran over to the fleamarket type sale in anadarko. The auction part was already going. Heard the auctioneer say hiw about $5 for your choice of chickens dd got exctied ran over there & they were large ceramic chickens! She didnt think it was too funny but i laughed. They had a pair if old metal nesting boxes, think there were 8 boxes on each, but my kids didn't want to stick around for me to bid on them. Wasn't sure they would have fit in the van either. Kids picked up a few things & I bought a book. We enjoyed it & I am sure we will go back, might even sell some there in the spring. Thanks for telling me about that place Michael.

Well they lady came for the EEs and also bought a g.pig! The icelandic roo is very nice and even has a litty toppy hair doo! Now to find him a hen or two! Only silly me would buy a roo that is rare and then think about weather or not there would be hens available!lol Here are some pics of him.

I am not a fan of the bb red color pattern but I still like him.

I finally got me a trio of muscovey ducks. I hope they will set before it gets cold. The two hens are both angel wings but thats okay,someone has to love them!lol. From what I can figure out,angel wing is not hereditary so they shold still be okay for breeding.

My ornamental grass has finally hidden the pool,now I need to cut it back and let it come out agin before fall. That keeps it from filling the pool full of seeds when it plumes.
