Thought I'd post some photos of the "Match made in Heaven"...the blind hen Angel the EE and the black Cochin roo she has "taken under her wing". I slipped out to check on the water cups and woke them up when I took photos..

Why are you waking us up?

While we're up, Mom called him to dinner.

She is really pretty attentive and they both chirp chatter to each other like a Momma hen with her chick.

Edit to add...all three pens will be cleaned in the morning....need new papers in the pull out drawers.

Wayne - Yes. All three doelings come from excellent milking lines. I plan to milk them by hand. I am reading all I can find on making cheese, butter, soap, lotion, ice cream, and yogurt. I've got a contact in Haskell with a buck, so in the fall I'll have them bred and can look forward to kids and milk in the spring.

Robin - Your photo is wonderful. What a great broodie!

Kass - I have garden envy. Bunnies are everything I planted. I've given up.

Bunnies ATE everything I planted. I just read the quote and realized my original has a typo. Maybe it's not really a typo. It seems like bunnies are the only thing I can grow in my garden.
