Yes maam, thats what I did. Had a good time, Met Richard (slipsocket) talked to modernman, nnbreeder (& wife) and doubleostud. Funny story about doubleostud. He saw me today and said bet you dont remember me. Took a minute but then it hit me. He and I went to college together. He is either awful old, or I went to college late in life, you guys figure that out

Was really good to see him. Now that I know where he is I plan on bugging him some. He is one of the good ones, always enjoyed him at school. Back to the auction, had a good time, bought all their home grown mators second week in a row. Bought and sold about the same amount dollar wise. Like I told my wife, If you dont factor in the 70 dollars in gas, meals and the trip to Blanchard to NoCityBoy to get guineas, I broke even today.

All hay in Oklahoma is higher than a giraffe's back. Now that it looks like there won't be any second cuttings of hay in most of Oklahoma, it is like gold.

I just looked on one of the local for sale sites, square bales are $3 and round bales $20-25.

OkCarla if you and Gerald take a trip to look for hay you better take two trucks! One for the hay and one for the goats you find on the way!lol

P&B there was a doe that sold outside the auction today taht was one of the biggest I have ever seen. She was spotted and looked like a regular cross bereed but she was huge. Must have had some flemmish in her,a lot of flemmish! A guy just ahead of me bought her for $7! I was so jealous!

That's awesome! Well, I didn't recognize you ... and didn't see Richard either. Cool story about Chris, too.

I'm shocked that there were so many BYC Okies there today.

The heat & humidity was just awful. I'm suprised so many folks showed up. I sure wish I had been smart enough to bring an umbrella to stay out of the sun. I bet it was only 102 in the shade

Its getting scarce in Kansas and Nebraska as well, Arkansas has already sold out.. Prices are going to get much much worse.

WE decided to get in the pool earlier and do some cleaning. That lasted about five minutes and a storm blew up. Thundred for a while then we had a good hard rain. Now its just sprinkling.

I set another hen today. A whole six eggs!lol. She was a little mottled OE. They have been good setters they just can't cover many! My daughter called today and she had her first baby chick ever to hatch out! It was a little serama. She was all excited and had a hundred questions. Unfortunately that was the only one to hatch for her. But she was on cloud nine! Another one hooked!lol

Yeah OkCarla that rig ought to haul enough hay and goats, might even throw a chicken coop on ,jsut in case! Just sayin...!lol

Think my grasshoppers are multiplying faster than my guineas.

Thankfully I can still see green Johnson grass in our pasture after last months cutting, but if we don't get a few sprinkles soon doubt it will be green much longer
