I guess I spoke too soon about the hawks. Right After I posted that I heard my nephews screaming in the pool. They said their were 5 hawks and one swooped down, they started screaming and scared them off. All the girls had run to the coop.
We are starting to re open the property from some of the fencing we had put up for the animals... Cant begin to tell you how big it makes the place look.. ha ha ha
Anyhoot I have a couple people that have inquired about the chickens and what they dont buy will go to the Cement auction tomorrow evening... Gonna clean up as good as I can some of the chicken equipment and bring it also to sale... we will keep back a few key items to take with us to our new destination but we have to be very careful on what we haul with us... considering we dont have a "home" there yet.. Jason got a hold of a realtor there and we hope to be getting some sort of living arrangements done before or shortly after our arrival... We are looking for a rural area to either buy or rent... cause we gotta have our chicken, turkey, duck fix before we die..lol....
I hope you all will make it to the Cement Auction and bid on some of our birds I would love to see them go to BYC Okies I know than anything....
Good Morning everyone.
Chicken chores are completed and doctored several with Vet RX and put a few drops in the waterers. New hay all around in both pens.

I'm doing good...I had about 100 birds outside at home until last week...they were really hot, but doing O.K. When the weather guys said it was going to get even hotter, I decided enough is enough...no need to wait for them to start dieing....so everybody is keeping cool inside now. Really crowded, but everybody is alive and waiting until cooler weather.

My husband was talking about getting a generator for the barn in case we go several weeks without power this winter. Just to make sure the birds could have some heat. Wonder what it would take for him to think the birds need a/c????
Well, my little guys don't take up very much room.
Here is a micro pair gone broody....(he is broody too, I think). He either stands at attention by her side or on the side of the bowl. He never leaves her side. She weighs 8 oz., he is 10 oz.
