***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I really appreciate the quick and informative responses! I am really hoping that's all it is and I am headed to TSC to pick up some medicine. One of my "Nosy Nellie" hens just figured out how to get in there, so she's trapped and I'm waiting to see what happens. She's one of the few that know how to use the doggie door. I thought it was blocked well enough, but she'll ram it!

One of the Cornish is definitely lethargic and coughing. I'm thinking the sickest ones I'll go ahead and cull. Then the rest of them I'll treat. I'll keep checking back to see the responses.

Thanks again! This has changed from an exciting day to dreadful.

Poco Pollo! How is your buddy Connor the terrier doing? Did the vet find anything? I know how you feel about him and have prayed for a positive diagnosis of minor injury with quick and complete recovery.

Agternoon peopple. Hey City nice to see you! Thanks for the kind words! Love those sussex! I may have to find some of them!

Michael was that a cow sale at Anadarko?

I went to they feed store while ago. Got a bag of a new laying pellet they are carrying. I love it! Its only 16% but its for the ducks so I think it will work. But I am going to give it to the pigeons and bantams also because its a real small pellet! And best of all its only $10,50 a bag! Beats the $15 plus for the starter crumbles I was feeding.

We have thunder! no rain yet but you could cut the air with a knife! Issy is at my heals, she is afraid of thunder!,

Hi City - Conner Man is OK. His left knee was popped out of the socket (weird looking on the X-ray), so an adjustment there and anti-inflamitories have him walking almost normally. He has some deep muscle injuries (from being squished by Vesta), but no disc compression or other serious back problems were found. He's not going to get to play with his 70 lb. friend any more. He's just not big enough to take being sat on.

Your ladies look like a feathered sorority. They are so prim and proper. I don't have eggs yet from the sister of your splash. I am going to put another nest box into that pen to encourage the group. I do have a SLW laying, but she only lays on the ground, the silly bird. I watched her wiggle and waggle the other day but wasn't able to get to her before she laid her egg. She does choose grassy patches, but I'm not sure why she's not using the nest box instead.

Was going to go to anadarko, but didn't want to get out of my pj's. It was too humid to make walking around enjoyable.

Lost another welsummer this afternoon. I will keep the ones I have, but won't buy anymore. Not sure if I will even try to hatch anymore. I lost over 1/4 of them this summer. No reason to get more just to loose them next yr.

Going to be a busy day tomorrow. Takin the girls to okc for the weekend. Going to concerts @ frontier city Friday & Saturday. No other plans except going to eat lunch @ pops while in the city. Dh thinks their rootbeer is the best ever & we love their fried okra--- they fry the really small pods whole-- supper yummy! I imagine we will go to bass pro too. Dont think we ever go to the city without stopping @ bass pro.
