***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Amy - I use a Hovabator with a fan as a hatcher. Check reptile supply houses. They sell many of the same incubators and often at lower prices than poultry supply stores. There's a good reptile supply house in California, but I can't remember the full name. Google reptile supplies and you'll find a few. I incubate eggs in a Sportsman. I move the eggs from the sportsman to the hovabator for lockdown because I can control the humidity better in the smaller space, and I'm not subjecting the newer eggs to too much humidity. Disinfecting after each hatch is much easier, too, since it's a completely different machine from the incubator.

I love this one (the last pic)! It's a male? How old? It looks young enough to fit in with my 6-7 wk old Cochin babies. He's adorable!
Edit: I think I have to have that baby.
Edit #2: Yes, I definitely have to have that gray baby :-O

That is Chloe, she is yours...! Sure you don't want the others? The black one is a pullet, the other two have been having crowing practice..

The black's a little girl, too? You bet I'll take her! How old are they, they'll fit right in with my Cochin babies!
Much as I hate to I have to pass on the boys. I'm up to my ears in Silkie boys because I can't bear to part with them

Have a gqf incubator & hatcher also have a brinesea Eco. The brinesea is my favorite, but only holds 2 dz large eggs or 27 guinea eggs. If I buy another it would be a brinesea. Tried foam ones & hate them.

Ditto on the brinsea!

i have GQF cabnet bators and love them if you plan on hatching larg # they are the way to go

Along with Kassaundra & DH for providing the Okie chicken train! My mom wanted to put that bird in her trunk! She's so funny.

No trunk riding here she rode shotgun, did my job of telling Gary when he was not driving right.
