***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Dh made it out with a few stitches holding his finger back together, suppose to keep it wrapped for the next week. He is out working on the dog kennel now. Said he wants to finish it before the numbing Meds where off. I really can't figure out how he cut his finger that bad with a box blade. After we went to the Mexican place, I noticed it was packed last night when I left michaels so figured it must be pretty good. We will definatly go back to eat there again.

Michael you are right about her loving to collect eggs. I keep thinking it will get old, but she has been like this her whole life. Anytime we use to visit family my uncle would take all the eggs from the fridge & put them in the nest for her when she was younger! Poor girl didn't understand why our chickens wouldn't lay 4 or 5 eggs a day each like theirs did.

Thinking about taking a few extra guinea cocks to the auction tomorrow. Can't deciede. I like to keep them one male to one female. So I have 4 or 5 extra males & 2 of them I don't like their coloring. Guess it really comes down to do I want to catch them or not!

At Newcastle do the birds sale out of the cage or with the cage?

bfrancis I think I have 2 American game stags. 2 American game pullets, 4- 3/4 American game, 1/4 asil pullets (these are grey) , then several 1/2 American game 1/2 asil. I dont think I am getting rid of any more of the pure asil stags yet till they get a little older. All this fowl is from 2 to 3 months old. They are all healthy big stags and pullets. 10 per straight across picked up here. Or for some gas money will meet somewhere Enid or so. No fowl sold for illegal purposes, this fowl will fit about everyone program.

This week has been crazy...my apologies for not getting back to you until now...are you by chance going to the New Castle auction tomorrow? If so I'd be interested in those two game pullets you have. If you're not going, next week maybe we could work something out.

Like the color, what are they?

They are brazilians...very excited to have that solid gold stag, was told it is real hard to get a solid gold bird, especially a stag, without any white in it.

Thanks to all who replied to my post about picking up a rooster for me, I have something worked out.

on another note had an interesting day at work today. fuel company that delivers our fuel mixed up our fuel tanks and put diesel in our gasoline and gasoline in our diesel.
Spent all day draining fuel from police cars and refilling them, luckily it was found out before any diesel was used. 3000 total gallons of fuel was ruined.

Howdy all! been a busy afternoon. I finished building another coop, have enough now so that I can tear down my old pigeon loft. Wife ask why I was tearing it down and I said well I'm moving back home next year! She said ,Oh!.
Have the last broody hatching out, hope someone else starts setting soon.

Lynn Its still up in the air if we will make it back on the 17th or not. We had not planned on it but got one of those heartbreaking crying,"Daddy we broke up!" calls last night. Its hard to be a dad and hug from 300 miles away! So we are trying to talk daughter into comming to be with us for a while. If so we will go back to get her and will plann it on the 17th weekend.

That Brazillian is a beautiful bird!

We just watched a great show on PBS about Will Rogers. What a great man and such a tribute to Oklahoma!

Wow nocity! I bet someones butt is a sling tonight!

I understand completely. I have been invited to go to New Castle and would love to go as I think Modernman is going to have one heck of a nice sale this week. BUT, I am going to auction at Dodge City KS Monday. I think poultry sale at New castle will be better, but Dodge also sales lots of goats, and am in the market for some of those critters. Holler next week see what I got. Most everything caught up now will go to dodge, but I still have a few left.

So what did they do with the fuel? Lots of military vehicles have multi-fuel engines ... like Gerald's deuce & half truck. It can run on used oil, kerosene, gas, diesel ....

I hope to see lots of Okies at Newcastle tomorrow night!

We have at least 20 bucks & bucklings available now ... and we're close to Newcastle.

been busy today, touching up the banty coop- just wish i had the supplies and knowhow to do it the way i picture it...

the ducks and geese decided to have a 'sleepover' in the chicken run, which is actually built much safer for them- was funny to see them troop in there after the chickens went to roost... probably would be a good plan for the winter too, since their run isn't nearly as well built

hey- bfrancis- love your sig line- who is it a quote of?
