Do you have an address or an road intersection to plug in a GPS? Thanks!

Hope this helps you. It is Hwy 59 & 51, the building is in the Adair state park if that helps too.

Thanks, it should...bet I can follow pick-ups with chicken crates from there

What Kind of Feathers? Rooster Sickle, hackle, and saddle, Big Fluffy feathers? Colorfull or Black?

My friend is planning to make paper mache birds (decorated with feathers), ojos de dios (God's Eyes), Dream Catchers, and many other art projects with her grandkids. Imagine you're a city kid, someone who has never been around live chickens, and then consider how exciting it will be to open a package of feathers of all different sizes, shapes, and colors. Variety is best.

From The Corner Of Hwy 51 & 59 (its A Stop Light) Go East, There Will Be A Turn On The Left (going South) I Believe It Is The First Turn You Can Make That Isn't A Driveway, Follow That & You Will Come Into The Park Area. Look For The Turn To The Left To Go Towards The Building.

MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

HELP HELP

We need homes for our little flock. One of our "loving" neighbors turned us in to the City (OKC) for having chickens in our backyard. The Code Officer was very nice, because he gave us until next Monday to find homes for our wonderful little pets. However, after that we will get a citation which we cqnnot afford - (we spent too much on our birds!!

). If anyone can help us out it would surely be appreciated. We currently have: 3 sex link RIR/RIW rescue layers, 2 red RIR layers, a beautiful little bantam game hen that has just begun producing tiny white eggs, 3 RIR buff pullets of various ages, a fluffy little gray bantam game pullet, 4 RIR chicks about 5 weeks old, a bantam Cornish (we think) hen, 2 cochin bantam hens black and white (1 mottled and 1 silver tipped pretty enough for a show bird). If you - any of you - can help by giving these really neat birds a home please PM us asap. We live near Britton Road and Kelley in NE OKC (right on the edge of "the country").

If all else fails, I could offer housing for them till you could locate a home. But please try to re-home them first.

Check with Michael, he may be able to assist you as well.

I do know someone who woul dbe interested in teh laying hens..

Jan my heart goes out for you! Sorry you are being forced to give up your babies!

Jarvis, I have been busy & might have missed it but how many kids did you have showing those 40 birds?? May have to send DD to your place for OJT if she does follow through with wanting to show birds. I do love our guineas, just trying hard to imagine getting one of them ready for show makes me understand why people show small calm birds!

the 40 of ours that were shown was by 5 boys that are heavily involved over here, then we had 3 others who's birds we cleaned and preped and showed "how to" get them ready. So all told 40 of our birds and 10 or so that belonged to teh other kids.

If she or anyone else would like to learn, I would be willing to hold a "Clinic" here on a weekend. the prep process varies a bit based on breed but most are very similar.
